With past assistants Andreea Maigut and Charlotte Forrest, Josh Davis is very pleased to have a case study published in Forensic Science International.
After creating a line-up array of foil photos from 1960s/70s police records to ensure photo quality consistency, the wisdom of a crowd of police super-recognisers made them more likely than police controls to match a 1970's post-mortem photo to a family photo of a man who went missing at about the same time. Evidence submitted to a coroner helped to establish identity of the river recovered body.
